The Business Problem

“Aoife McGill Personal Fitness” is a specialist gym catering to all ability levels. It is owned and operated by Aoife McGill, who holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science and is dedicated to helping her clients reach their fitness goals. The gym specialises in weight loss, resistance training, pre & post-natal care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. The gym is very successful and has earned a strong reputation in the community but lacked a digital footprint beyond Instagram and Facebook. The lack of technology meant that all class bookings were communicated by clients either verbally or by using WhatsApp and SMS and as a consequence Aoife found herself spending more and more time dealing with manual processes required to manage bookings, take payments, and answer questions which ultimately ate into the time available to her to focus on her business.

The Solution

Digital Business designed and developed a custom mobile app to address these challenges. The app was created to reflect the gym's personality and values, incorporating its colours, logo, and imagery to showcase its brand identity. The app was designed to communicate information about the gym and provide a detailed guide of all gym classes via an easy-to-use interface for clients. In addition, a robust booking platform was identified and integrated into the app that enabled clients to book and pay for classes online. This new online approach eliminated the need for time-consuming manual communication and ensured that all bookings and payments were efficiently managed within the app.
